Christopher Lamb

Owner & Project Manager | Finishing Touch Painting Ltd.

As the second generation owner of Finishing Touch Painting, Christopher brings over 15 years of hands-on experience and a deep rooted commitment to craftsmanship, leadership, and legacy. In 2025, he officially stepped into the role his father, Colin Lamb, held for over 47 years - carrying forward a tradition of excellence in commercial painting across Victoria BC and beyond.

Since the age of 16, Christopher has been proudly immersed in the commercial end of the painting & wallpaper trades. His earliest jobs took him far from home, working long shifts on new construction jewelry stores in both Kelowna and Courtenay BC. Initially putting in 12 - 16 hour days under his father’s watchful eye, he learned early that a strong work ethic is the foundation of success. The first thing he bought with his first hard earned pay cheque? A longboard he still owns to this day.

Starting with exterior pressure washing and interior surface preparation: caulking, filling, and pole sanding, Christopher built his skills from the ground up and under the mentorship of some of the cities most talented and skilled tradespeople. He quickly learned that the key to a high quality paint finish lies in the prep work and that first coat of primer, a principle he still emphasizes with every project. By age 20, he had earned the opportunity to manage his first major site: a new construction multi story hotel in Langford BC, where he led a crew of seven. Proving his ability to coordinate teams and solve problems with confidence.

From there, his role grew steadily. As a full-time site supervisor, he has overseen a wide range of projects including condominium developments, office buildings, and commercial retail spaces. His proudest achievement thus far was leading the painting and wallpaper work at the Lyra Residences, a pair of nine story new construction condo buildings in Saanich BC between 2018 and 2019. His largest and most complex project to date, completed while also managing and overseeing multiple other mid-sized sites concurrently.

Following the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Christopher adapted by focusing on essential renovation and maintenance paint works across government and Canadian Forces housing in Victoria, reinforcing the company’s reliability and resilience in uncertain times.

Now at the helm of the family business, Christopher is dedicated to restoring the company to its former momentum and guiding it into a new era of growth, innovation, and quality craftsmanship. With a passion for the trade and a lifetime of experience, he is proud to lead a team that continues to deliver exceptional results across Vancouver Island.
